Top Favorite Spots at Dechen Chöling

... presented by our staff, photos taken by Dan Horak (Thank you!)
Anette

Anette is at the upper meadow where the Torii - a Tibetan style gate - is placed. She says that this place triggers her sadness in a peaceful way.

Arnaud

Arnaud likes to be on the tractor because he likes working outside, in nature.

Francois is at the plaza in front of the Chateau: "This space is full of all the elements that remind me of the vivid spirit of Summer time."

Francois
Hilde

Hilde loves this place: "Because when I come here with a question, I receive an answer from the tree - in whatever way."

Konstanze is with Lea and Clara in front of the Cafè and Boutique, just next to Childcare. They love it here because "this place is usually the sunniest place, - and both a socializing and peaceful spot of Dechen Chöling."

Yumi
Maria likes to hang out in Marpa Room with its library. She says: " I like this place because it contains a kind of old fashion dignity."

Shannon chose the bench and the  late afternoon sun behind the wall of one of the Campgrounds and with a view to the garden. She  appreciates the combination of richness, calmness and softness of this place.

Stéphane can feel the stream crossing his mind. There is a lively creek finding its curvy ways through our land, nourishing and refreshing the atmosphere.

Last but not least for today: Yumi. She didn't particularly express her favorite spot but  she more or less accepts us gladly living in her district and it's safe to say that she knows definitely the best spots for having a quiet nap in the sun.

  1. To see staff members in Dechen Chöling places makes me very happy. I am so grateful for all your kindness and support we had from you during the Mudra Space awareness program. I think of you and Dechen Chöling with great warmth and I am also proud that Shambhala has such a good land center in Europe. Sabine Putze
